To use VOIP would the computer have to be left on indefinitely? If then the computer is in the study is that where the phone connection should be? You would then have to have a cordless phone in the kitchen with the charging base in the study!

VoIP is independent of the PC - the Engin (or similar) device connects to the broadband connection directly, which may require an additional hub or switch depending on the connection type.

The installation typically involves two telephone handsets - one for incoming calls with it's own Telstra number, and the second Engin phone which is used for outgoing calls.

The only configuration required (aside from Engin's direct work) may be some firewall changes, but this varies according to the hardware used.

I would like to know what type of backup power would be needed to keep a company running that has 6 servers and 100 workstations.

You mention nothing at all about the amount of data to be backed up, so I am going to presume that it is power backup that you are concerned with.
1 x 800-1000 VA UPS per server and 1 x 550 VA UPS per workstation.

I have a HP Vectra VEi8 with only 64 meg of ram and I want to upgrade to 256 or higher. Its pc100 single sided SDRAM. What is the equivalent Kingston brand RAM I should put in?

We can supply 256Mb 168 pin PC133/100 (backwards compatible) Sdram 8chip for $99 plus postage. If you want a Kingston equivalent, go to their website and you will be able to find it.

How do I manually clean print head of Canon S200SPX colour printer? Normal computer cleaning does not clear up the clogged head.

If the head-cleaning procedure did not work, then it is likely you will need to replace the printhead. Unfortunately for you, it is not economical to replace the printhead of a Canon S200SPX considering how cheap it is to replace the whole printer.

For future reference it is recommended that you use genuine Canon ink in a Canon printer for best results.

What sort of cd do I need to back-up my files. Recordable or writeable? I have recordable discs. Are they writeable or rewriteable or something else?

You can use either. The difference is that if you use a writeable only CD you will not be able to change the data on it once you have closed the CD off, but as long as you leave it open, you will be able to continue to add to it until it is full. If you use a Re-writeable CD, you will be able to write new material over your old material onto the CD.
Writeable CDs are quite a bit less expensive than Re-writable ones for this reason. The choice is yours.
Recordable just means writeable. Different brands call them different things. Re-writeables cost about $4 each and writeables cost about $2. Work it out from what you paid if you are worried. The box or packet will tell you if it is a reusable one or a 'once-only'.

I have a Canon S200SPX but have lost the drivers. I cannot find anywhere to download them cheaply from the net. Do you have any ideas?

Just go to www.driversguide.com and join up as a member, it's free. Then you can download the driver you require.

How much is a 40 Gb hard drive and anti-virus software, also the name and price of the cord that you can plug into the output in a record player and into the sound card of the computer?

Seagate 40Gb Hard Drive is $130.00, which includes a 3 year warranty. We don't generally stock these as most people are wanting bigger hard drives. We currently have a 60Gb Hard drive for $174.00.

Vet Netsurfer Antivirus $98.00 with free local support, free unlimited full version upgrades and virus updates, hands free automatic updates, small download size, multiple platform support and installs to both workstation and server.

Norton Internet Security $149.95 includes Personal Firewall, Spam Alert and Parental Control.

Unfortunately we do not stock the cable you asked about, try your local communications store.

Where can I get hold of wincatalog?

WinCatalog Light is an easy to use yet powerful disk catalog software that can be used for cataloging disks and files. Using WinCatalog Light you can quickly find a needed file in your disk collection, even without inserting any removable disks into the drives.
Wincatalog is available as a shareware download from www.wincatalog.com The cost of the program is $US22.00.

Cost of black e16 cartrige (sic) in India?

Due to the distance it would not be economical to buy this cartridge from Australia. It would probably be better for you to find a local supplier.

Moniters (sic) prices?

We have NEC monitors in stock at all times. Check our products to see the current models and prices.

Epson Printers for menus?

We are able to supply Epson printers but we prefer Canon printers as we are able to service and support them locally. Check the printers section to find the current printers available.
